We booked through Mercury Direct as a 4star hotel. After booking I read some terrible reviews so phoned Mercury to possibly change hotels. They told me their team was currently reviewing the hotel and assured me that in their opinion the hotel still rated 4 stars. We found our room very satisfactory and clean. We had no insects in the... More

It's all great if you just want to lounge around and swim. What made the holiday for us was a 'beach boy' called Nikki. He arranged trips to the hill country, national parks ,elephant sanctuary, every thing. His vehicles are modern and air conditioned. Can't reccommend him highly enough. More

This hotel is dirty, run-down, tired and does not even deserve a 2 Star rating. For the first 10 days of our fortnight's holiday we had no hot water, only lukewarm or cold. The first room (305) had a shower that leaked water into the hall/bedroom area (I mopped it up with a dirty bath towel) and the outer wall... More

This hotel is not fit for purpose, and the Sri Lankan authorities should be ashamed of themselves for its totally false four star rating. The staff, as met by visitors, do their best for clients as is their way, but all else is total failure. Rooming furniture is many years past its sell-by date and is being eaten away by... More

The room was ok, just lot's of animals might be found, don't be surprized, you are in Sri Lanka. On Valentines' day they made special evening, of... More

The hotel is OK, It looks very old but they are going to rebuild it in 2011. We spent there 14 days and went on 3 great trips with Dominik( a guy from the beach) and i can recommend him to anybody. He can organise anything and is very trustworthy. Even though we are back in UK we still stay... More

We have just stayed for five nights and our stay was excellent value for money. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a lovely view out to sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful but food service in particular was desparately slow. The food was very good but the menu didn't change and was the same in all... More

The hotel is definitely due for refurbishment. The decor and many of the fixtures and fittings are long overdue for replacement. The building leaks badly, the electrics certain ly need updating and the quality of food hygiene leaves much to be desired. Altogether a very bad experience we would not wish to repeat. The staff, in fairness, were very helpful... More
