Had a great time here, the food is excellent, especially the fish. It's a short walk to the cave temple and a cheap tuc-tuc to sigiriya. Service is excellent, ask for Roshan. Rooms are clean and I'd recommend to all.

I stayed here only one night,to visit Sigiriya and Dambulla,and Saman's guesthouse is a perfect budget place for this area.clean,spacious rooms with very nice bathrooms,very helpful staff and just 5 min.away from the Temple caves.Although on the main road,it's a quiet place.I wish the family all the best and can certainly recommend this place!

Stayed here for two nights. Rooms are nice. Bathroom had just been redone but no hot water. Price for the rooms is good and there is also free WiFi but food is quite expensive 800LKR for curry and rice 1000LKR for noodles. Staff were very friendly and helpful

We did not stay at Saman's but had a delicious and interesting lunch at a very good price. The ingredients for that day were on display and the recipes explained to us. Very generous portions and lots of variety. We were there in early February 2013. I would go again.
