Lovely riad! Great location. Friendly staff. Very comfortable accommodations. Ben was wonderful and took good care of us. Book dinner reservations in advance and confirm early in the mornings.

I recently stayed at Dar Gabriel with family and friends. Upon our arrival, which was our second, I became quite ill necessitating a hospital visit. The manager, Ben, was a guardian angel taking care of everything and putting us all at ease during an incredibly stressful time. I was sorry not to spend more time at the Dar itself; however,...

The location is just perfect, right in the Medina, surrounded by blue painted alleys and houses. Our room was pleasant and our host Ben was friendly and helpful. He gave us some good advice to visit some typical souks in nearby tiny villages.
My wife and me just spent two nights in this lovely riad. The house looks wonderful, and is very well maintained. Our room, although not so spacious, was very nice. The bed and mattress were perfect and made great nights. Ben is a very charming host, who likes to take care of his guests. We were fortunate with some glorious...

My wife and our friend stayed here midway through two weeks in Morocco for three nights and had a very good time. Unlike other recent reviewers we had amazing weather so I cannot comment as to it being cold and damp - it was perfect for us. The location is quite good. Frankly, the medina in Chefchouen is not very...

We spent our first two days in Morocco in Chefchaouen at Dar Gabriel so this was our introduction to Moroccan culture. Very interesting medina and convenient location of the dar just inside Bab Suk. Unfortunately it rained off and on throughout our stay but we tried to make the best of it. The dar itself is nice with a traditional...

We stayed here for 4 nights and overall our stay was a pleasant one. Ben the manager is a really nice guy and goes out of his way to help you. The evening meals were really tasty and the breakfasts were a typical Moroccan mix of bread, pancakes, juice etc. If I had one negative point it would be that...

If you stay here you MUST stay for dinner. After our first dinner we chose not to go out the second night because it was sooo good! The only pitfall is that there is only one scheduled dinner time (you do not get to choose...breakfast however was anytime). Dinner was communal style so we ate with some of the other...

Thank you so much for your review, it's great to have guests who can give us feed back.
As I write we are installing new IKEA lights into each bedroom, so reading in bed is an easier option., we bought them in Malaga only yesterday.
It is raining, and the woodburner is lit, and it is warm and cosy...

My partner and I stayed at the Dar Gabriel for two nights in March. The riad is very pretty and clean throughout and the room we were allocated was lovely but the lighting was a bit dim, though that would be my only complaint. The rooftop is a great place to relax and soak up some sun and the views...

The Riad is lovely, clean, and welcoming. It has a cosy and inviting feel. Yes, as mentioned by some, the rooms are a little on the small side (but in no way tiny or stuffy). However, there are indoor salons, a roof-top patio, and a shaded roof-top alcove for resting and relaxing. This is not a place where you need...
