We've just returned from our second stay at Treetops. Thrilled to get the longhouse to ourselves again - the outdoor showers are so refreshing! Our two children were similarly pleased to be back, and happily went trekking through Lambir Hills National Park with the promise of a dip in the pool on their return. The food was fantastic, and everyone... More

After the day spent trekking in the rainforest, arriving to such a warm and friendly welcome was a fantastic start to our stay here. Too many positive things to mention! Treetops is perfect for young independent travellers (like us), but I have every intention of bring family here when they visit. We were the only guests. We stayed in the... More

We absolutely loved staying here, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The place itself is in set in really lovely well maintained gardens and is just a short walk from the beach. We had a room overlooking the gardens and the longhouse accomodation. There is a plunge pool, a table tennis set and a movie area. There was also free... More

We stayed at Tree Tops lodge for one week and thoroughly enjoyed the welcome provided by Esther and Irene. Being away from the city allowed full immersion into the local sense of living with all its sounds and tastes. Tasty and varied food was offered on the verandah and I can highly recommend the local fish accompanied by vegetables. We... More

Absolutely loved our stay at Treetops! We planned to stay for 3 nights but decided to stay for a week. Friendly staff, amazing view, 100 m from the beach and good food. And, the best beds of our entire 2-month-trip! I would recommend this place to those who are looking for a whole lot of relaxing: just some books to... More

Having spent over a week at Treetops during May 2010 we feel very qualified to judge its quality. Set it a tropical garden, the buildings are of hardwood and local design. The en-suite bedrooms are comfortable with air conditioning and a fan with an adequate wet-room. The long-house suitable for back-packers must be great fun to stay in. Whilst the... More

Because the restaurant is above the sleeping accommodation and it is a flimsy wooden building it is impossible to sleep if you have a noisy group staying. There is a 11pm curfew to enable people to sleep but the owner does not enforce it. There is also often a loud TV blaring away above the rooms. The place is in... More

All longhouses and traditional houses in Borneo are made of wood; guests should be aware of this before booking. There are plenty of concrete hotels in the neighbourhood, if preferred. However the house cannot really be described as "flimsy"; it was built 12 years ago from selected Borneo hardwoods and softwoods and has stood the test of time. The young... More

We stayed at Treetops Lodge on New Years Day and the day after after 4 nights in Miri and in need of relaxing surroundings. We were not disappointed. We were picked up from the bus station and showed to our double room in the longhouse. Our host kept saying that the accommodation in the longhouse is basic but trust me,... More

We came here from a break from all the cities we've been through, and for that it was perfect! Located in the jungle and miles away from the main town, it is a perfect setting! Open chalets with mosquito nets, open showers (only for those who choose the cheaper option) is such a nice difference. A lodge over the lake,... More

We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Treetops Lodge. We arrived at the lodge at night. We had the feeling to arrive in the middle of no where as it was so dark and away from the city of Miri. Upon arrival we were greated by the owner of the lodge. She showed us the way to our room which... More
