We have stayed at this Resort for 5 nights 2nd of Nov – 7th of Nov 2009 and we came here only to relax and snorkel, its only a 1.5 h ferry ride from Sandakan pier to the island. The island is about 5 ha of size and there are around 30 wooden chalets on stilts scattered around the island... more

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at Lankayan resorts and were not disappointed! Althought pricey at first hand, the resort is a dream place for couples and diving addict. The purpose of my six day stay here was simply to dive and unwind and Lankayan was perfect for that, I really enjoyed the relaxed and laid back vibe. We spent two nights here and didn't want to leave! The weather was perfect while we were there so blue skies, white sandy beaches, clear water with tropical fish visible, turtles nesting.... We stayed on lanakayan for 6 nights as part of a 3 week holiday in Sabah. Getting there, we were collected from our jungle resort in Sepilok and transfered to Sandikan (about 35 mins) where we filled out the diving waiver forms and boarded the only speed boat transfer to Lankayan that leaves at 10am everyday.
