I stayed here for one night before joining the wildlife tour. I stayed in a dorm which was 48 ringgits including all meals. The room just had a fan, and was very stuffy during the day. There were only 2 of us in the dorm,'so the temperature at night was OK (might be different if there were 4 in the... More

Just stayed at Uncle Tans B & B. The place is clean and serene. Facilities are basic but it's value for money for the price it charges. Double ensuite room costs RM55 per head with the option of an additional mattress at an additional RM55. The price includes 3 full meals, breakfast lunch and dinner all of which tastes fantastic... As others have mentioned, this is the normal stop before going to the wildlife camp. The facilities and food were very average for backpackers in the area. We arrived shortly after dusk, but despite our booking we were not expected. There was only power in the common area while we were there, and we were given a room in a... More

We stayed at ops the night before we headed out for the 3D/2N jungle your. It was amazing, saw so much wildlife and had a great time! The staff was really nice, had great food, and the rooms were good.

We weren't expecting this accomodation to be great, but it was adequate. Small rooms with air con (and it works pretty well), a bed and bathroom (only cold water). However, you do get all meals provided, and they were pretty good. Free transfer to the Orangutan Sanctuary was very handy, as was the lunch when you get back from the... More

We stayed in uncle tan's b&b because we left the other day for their jungle camp. If you do the same. Stay one night in sandakan, as you will have other nights to spend in a very basic accommodation. There was no internet connection and just cold water!

People stay here on either side of going to their river camp, and its a good stay. Large common area, pool table, table tennis, darts, basketball court. The food is good. Price of room including the full board food is decent. The double room we stayed in was basic but fine. AC was good. The price of their souvenirs could... More

Recently back from the 3d/2n Jungle Camp with Uncle Tans and was really impressed...everything was efficient, well organised and we were always aware of the programme - the staff were friendly, interested, professional and were great at spotting even the smallest creature, the sleeping arrangements simple, clean and fun, meals - a good standard and plentiful - coffee, tea and biscuits available... it was a long story before we found this place. We arrived sepilok at night and realised that the resort that we booked earlier was deep inside the forest. It gave us such a horrible and scary feel at the time we reach there. The place was dark, quiet and nobody at the reception. Finally, we decided to look for... More

We have just come back from uncle tan's jungle camp and it was great! You need to be prepared for very basic accommodation, huts with no walls, mattress on the floor with a mossie net, and bucket showers. But even though it is basic it is clean and well presented and the staff are wonderful. The wildlife tours are great,... More
