We walked in the Palace hotel in mid May 2013 without a reservation cause we were tired after visiting qadisha valley and wanted to avoid driving for another couple of hours through the mountains in the dark. Whereas the rate on the internet would have been 140.000 LBP, we were quoted 90$ for a double room incl. breakfast. The room... More

Great location. Poor rooms. No tissues, no drinking water, no hot water, no face towels (only two bath towels in the whole room), no air conditioning, very uncomfortable bed and pillows, poor breakfast. Amazing view.

A great location with wonderful views from the rooms to the back, some have a balcony. Single female travellers may find the hotel manager’s ‘hospitability’ a little overbearing although his charming son more than makes up for his over attentiveness.

Checked in and went up to Cedars, came back down and decided to taxi back to Byblos. The manager and his son were first class - managed the situation well. Arranged a last minute breakfast, a cold beer, taxis, tours to the valley.

The warmth and enthusiasm of the manager and owner make up for the ageing hostel feel about the hotel itself. I think that it could be noisy when crowded (banging doors/wooden stairs?) - but I had a great night's sleep in a warm room with fabulous views. I think if I was staying longer (or if indeed it was crowded/noisy)... More

The palace hotel was a very pleasant surprise in such a small city. The rooms are very big, spotless. It seems they have been renovated recently. Bed are very comfortable and have extra blankets. If was kind of chilly end of OCtober and they did not put the heater on yet but the extra comforter were doing the job.And while... More

I wish I could've stayed longer in Bcharre, a most beautful town in an amazing location, and I would happily stay longer in the Palace Hotel. I was greeted each day with such a warm welcome, and a wonderful breakfast, and any questions I had on the local area were answered -- with other suggestions as well. I have sadly... More

I visited Lebanon in September and decided to stay up north (Bcharri) for a week-end. I have been to a few hotels in my life but have never been greeted and welcomed like this before. What particularly captured my attention is the warm hospitality that I received. The owner went literally out of his way to make me feel at... More
