Lovely hotel, Situated in the very old part of Yazd between the adobe ruins you'll find this very stylish oriental renovated caravan sarai; Laleh hotel. It is renovated in a positive manner; keep most of the original items and rebuilt the parts that make the whole conveniant for tourist wishes anno 2011. Rooms contain original stained glass parts, tileworks and... More

This was a nice historic hotel with interesting design and with friendly reception team. However my colleague George Torok and I had two of three rooms in a basement (felt like a dungeon) where the occupant of the third room must have been smoking camel dung - disgusting smell which polluted our rooms Air conditioning was hot only so we... This hotels suffers from a dismissal on LP, which I find unjust. Yes, the restaurants staff could be a little more friendly and the reception is a bit confused, but the room I stayed in was a stunner. The bed was very very good - a boon in Iran - and the bathroom beyond reproach. The location is not as... More

Please, note that I have NOT stayed in Laleh hotel, so this review and rating is of their restaurant only. If it were a place of my choice, not an invite for a short meet-up, I might have become alerted by the emptiness of the place at a busy night-time. I happened to eat out in four different traditional hotels... More

The hotel is generally very interesting for the foreigners, and they certainly enjoy the traditional atmosphere and food. However, the hotel is not very comfortable. The floor is not fully covered with carpet. The toilet's door is "traditional" :) which means the people inside does not feel private. The staff should be trained a bit more about how to deal... A journey to Yazd is an experience in its self! We were stuck at Tehran’s Meherabad Airport for more than 3 hours, delayed because it was too hot for the plane to land in Yazd. The outside temperature was over 40 Degrees at 6pm; the heat is cloying and combined with the stale diesel smell in the air, its pretty... More
