The rooms are like cells in a prison, but outside scene of the hotel is very beautiful. The views are breathtaking. The restaurant is not particularly nice, and the food is not tasty. We would pick another hotel next time.

We reached this hotel by passenger ferry from Parapat and landed at the hotel's own jetty. As it was a quiet season for tourists we were given a front room overlooking the lake and the distant mainland. Our room was spacious with an en suite bathroom/shower and a verandah adjacent to the delightful tropical garden full of native orchids and... More

Lovely gardens with some interesting sculptures by the lakeside, a large bare room with no fridge, air con, fan or kettle. Food of variable quality, staff were willing in their attitude but English was not always understood. Internet did not work. The place can be summed up by the image of Wire Netting on windows to keep out the insects... More

From what I heard this hotel used to be one of the better ones here, but these days it is badly maintained and really could use some renovation. Furniture in the room was limited to the absolute minimum, hot water is only available for a few hours and the heater (or generator) for this makes a lot of noise, especially... More

Silintong is a real nice place (one of the best locations you can have in Samosir) with some real big Pros, but also some flaws. The overall setting is beautiful: big and spacious, a very nice orchid garden and the best access to the lake in case you have smaller children, because there is a private beach with shallow water. Rooms... More

We stayed in Silintong Hotel for 3 nights and paid 600,000.00 IDR altogether. It looks like we were the only guests in this hotel that time. This “two star” rated hotel has a good location (Tuk-Tuk Siadong) and easily accessible from Parapat with boat: upon request the boat fetch you or pick up from private hotel’s pier (the boat trip... There is actually nothing wrong with this Hotel: Rooms are good, hot water, nice breakfast. However, the price is horrible! For at least 5 times cheaper, you can get the same quality (or even better) next-door. So keep walking in Tuk Tuk and start your search for a room somewhere else...

We were the only guests in this hotel what could have been very cosy. The location is good, walking distance from a lot of nice restaurants (which were also empty). The rooms are good, the bed fine, the shower warm and the rooms have a little terrace. The surrounding is very beautiful at the lake and it is possible to... More

Silintong Hotel is a nice and clean hotel, which, like many of the hotels on Samosir Island lies right on the shores of Lake Toba. It is a no frills type accomodation. Certainly not a place for those who wish to have resort like amenities - i.e. there's no multicuisine restaurant, no fitness center, no SPA, not even a TV... More

I stayed at Silintong Hotel for 4 days on a company event. The rooms were reasonably clean, the staff quick and friendly, and the view was nice. There was another hotel in the Lake Toba vicinity (*cough* Hotel Carolina *cough*) that I had stayed in, and was determined never to come there again. I am glad this time, we didn't... More
