We had a good look around Pai (including almost all of the higher ranking places) before deciding on the art resort. Good decision. I just don't understand why it is not number one or two in the rankings as it simply blows away every other place that we checked out. Service is good, food  is good, rooms are excellent, surrounding... More

I visited this resort in june, so avoid the Thai Season in december and januari. Rooms are decorated in yellow combined with cement gray, and the resort is located in the rice fields. Food was very good, swimming pool has an amazing view over the valley.

We spent four nights in two side-by-side bungalows with our son. The rooms were gorgeous. Spacious, clean and so serene we could barely rouse ourselves for a swim in the infinity pool. Restaurant service was a little sketchy the first day but, once we befriended the manager and learned to order the Northern Thai food the meals were excellent. After... More

Phu Pai art resort review We were supposed to stay for 3 nights in dec 2011 but ended up checking out of the  Phu Pai art resort after 2 nights due to the extremely poor service and pathetic room quality.  The lack of warmth , or rather the absence of even a smile should have forewarned  us of the rocky... We arrived in this great bohemian town with a 12 seat airplane and had made arrangements with the resort to be picked up. That only happened after we called the Hotel . All was forgiven when we were shown the cabin in the midst of rice paddies. Very romantic location and the cabin was simply stunning way over our expectations... More

The rooms and views are fantastic but the service doesn't match the outfit. After checking in and paying we are told the restaurant closes every day at 8pm. During our dinner we simultaneously hear the loud music of the receptionist girl and the waiters on their respective computers. No smiles to be found here. Great pool though.

I have visited Pai on my personal trip during X'mas in December 2011. I got my booking confirmed by reservations team in Bangkok and fully paid before I left Australia. I know that from X'mas to New Year is the peak season, especially for the Northern part of Thailand as Pai is one of the tourist destinations for Thais. It... More

Takes a bit of finding, but once found expectations were high. Having had fantastic service in rimping village Chiangmai,we were quickly disappointed in the service here. No hellos, no effort, everything was just too hard with them. The rooms however are great, and the location is lovely and quiet. Could be great be great but let down by such poor... More

We stayed at Phu Pai Art Resort for 2 nights. The location is perfect, just outside of Pai in a rural settingt. There are about 50 cottages, built in Adobe style , inside mostly polished concrete. Quite stylish and comfortable, though the beds are very, very hard, which is not all that uncommon in Thai hotels. It's a great place... More
