Most nong khai options on river were dreary and outdated. Opposite the railway station hidden behind a guest house of similar name is a new resort with options of suites or bungalows. Unlikely spot about 200 yards from railway station but difficult to fine. Clean comfortable bungalows. Lovely swimming pool. Great little manager who communicates effectively despite almost no knowledge of English. Need to go into town for good food
