You get that magical feeling as soon as you enter with long tail boat. You are welcomed with a nice passageway full of greenery and pass on a bridge with flow of water running beneath. The resort has three private beaches all to yourself. There is also a very nice and relaxed bar to spend the night. Our hut had... More

Within last 22 days we stayed at 10 different places all across the country. All of them were nice - but I left my heart at Sai Thong Lovely private beach accessible only by a jungle trek or a boat, very kind people and stunning view even from the cheaper bungalows. Bungalows are small, clean and simple, delicious (and surprisingly... More

I stayed there on september 2011 and I have left my heart there. The place is awsome: the beach is 10 metres away from the bungalows and the sand is so white and the water's so blue. The woman who runs this place is so sweet and her little baby is adorable. She cooks WONDERFULLY, honestly the best food I've... More

When my boyfriend and I decided to travel to Thailand, we wanted to experience what Thailand was like before the hordes of tourists came and commercial resorts & hotels dominated the beautiful islands - and we found that at Sai Thong. If you're looking for a quiet, secluded spot where you have a private beach, beautiful sunsets and can throw... More

This place could be AMAZING but it is way far from it. The setting is absolutely beautiful, gorgeous bay, nice beach with turquoise waters and white sand, the staff are very nice but the atmosphere of the place is very depressing. It is not looked after at all. Lots of rubbish everywhere, the worst part is the communal area which... More

If there was one place we would return to in thailand it is this. But I guess it is not for everyone. The electricity is on during evening-night. Hot water is not guaranteed, due to leaving the lights on the first night we hade some flying-ants in our room and to get the the main beach for diving, shoping or... More

The bad reviews on here show all the flaws this place has to offer. What they've missed out is you can leave Mae Haad and all the madness and enter into the quietest of bays with piercingly bright stars, achingly beautiful sunsets and waters clear enough to be standing amongst brightly coloured fish meters away from the edge. The staff... More

We booked to stay at Sai Thong for 2 nights and I was happy it was only that long. The resort is on a nice looking beach that you an only get to by longtail boat or by trekking through the forest over the hill to Mae Haad. It took us forever to find Reception and there were some very... More

To be honest we actually did not stay here as we thought it was just too horrible. When we arrived by ferry we passed the beach and it looked lovely. So the next day we decided to move from the main beach to this one. There was only one bungalow available and when it was show it was exactly as... More

The setting is simply stunning: A private sandy beach enclosed by beautiful rocks, palm trees.... a dream location for a resort. Unfortunately the accomodation is very basic with just a bed in a run-down hut, nothing else in the room (ah, I forgot the disfunct fan). The huts are entirely run-down, gaps in the floors eveywhere, two old and dirty... More
