Very friendly guesthouse in a great location. It is in the old part of Ayutthaya, very close to markets and transport, but off the main street, so it is quiet. The place has lots of little balconies and terraces in odd places for relaxation, with lots of potted flowers. The manager speaks English and Japanese as well as Thai, and... More

We walked into PU Guesthouse, and they were very friendly. We got a fan room private bathroom for 350B, which we felt may have been overpriced. We joined a boat tour of the temples, which was good, but it was more expensive then other places. You had to take off your shoes before entering the guesthouse, which is usually fine,... More

I stayed here for one night with my 2 children. 250B for a double bed and an extra bed made up on the floor. It was not especially clean and there were tiny ants everywhere. The staff were helpful and the tour by longboat good value at 200B. We had tranport to the river, then a 2 1/2 hour visit... More

They were friendly at reception but the custodial staff kept coming in my room when I was still sleeping in the morning. I complained about it but it happened again the next morning so I checked out and went someplace else on the same street. The fans in the rooms are ceiling mounted oscillators that squeak and make it hard... More

The room was pretty cheap, I paid THB200 for a shared bathroom but it was 2 floors down. It was fairly clean but never had toilet paper or soap or a bin. The shower was hot though! The service was generally friendly and the lobby area is nice for relaxing. Wifi is free and it worked in my room. The... More

What a great weekend! Me and a couple of my friends stayed at PU for the weekend. The staff was great, the owner actually opened up her daughter's room for us because she was out of room but wanted to help us out. She also gave us great ideas about what to do around town and helped us rent bikes... More

We stayed one night at PU guesthouse and it was not so nice as we expected. There were everywhere ants( entrance, room, etc. ) and a lot of fruit flies(dead too). It was not very clean ( like written in lonley planet) and we would not go again to this guesthouse.

Yes, just like KayL112 said, this guesthouse has very aggressive owners. I sent my laundry there, they colored my 3 tops! They were white before, when i got my laundry, they were red or pink. I went back to talk to them and hope there will be a solution, the owner(a thai woman with a very heavy make-up) came out... More

I stayed for two nights, the room was okay, but my shared bathroom was three floors down. They have a nice boat trip (although there are cheaper options around the corner) and the fruitshakes are good. Skip the breakfast here as it is very expensive, and the 'fresh' coffee (40B) is thin as water. They offer good advice on where... More
