The owner is arrogant and he does not provide rooms as he said. He will allocate some other rooms and tells this is the room you booked. Does not know how to handle guests and we lost 1k as a advance.

We booked for just one night and that was so disappointing that we wanted to leave this place at the earliest possible. The room is not cleaned when guests leave, bed sheets are dirty, bathroom is dirty with broken taps and no sight of things they claim while booking. Loud noise of drunken and all sorts of people will not even let you sleep at night. There is no thing called service at this place. This place is enough to destroy your entire trip as it almost did for us by spoiling our mood as we entered the hill station. Don't book this hotel ever if you want to enjoy your trip and spend time peacefully.

hotel kodaigate is worthless of even 1 star rating. its the worst of its kind. it looked nothing like in the picutures. Despite booking in advance and informing about our status ,we were given an unclean room in the basement. The entrance was full of fruit peels and food wrappers. bedroom had a sink where water was leaking and floor was damp, curtains were so dirty it was disgusting. It looked like some dungeons. To top it, it was called a Royal suite. it was the most disgusting place i have ever seen. after travelling around 600 kms it was a torture to be there. Finally we had to search for other hotels nearby and ended up paying heavily because of last minute checking in

Technical robbery by the receptionists. They have listed packages but keep it hidden intending to charge us exorbidantly. Food is average. Property is good. Not worth the money. Checkout time didnt suit us. Hotel dominated by keralites. They have a worst attitude. I felt they didnt realise kodaikanal is in Tamilnadu not in kerala. Hotel Kodai International is always a good choice.

Do not be fooled by what the people tell you on phone about these reviews. Just go by TA reviews and do not waste time like I did. I went and settled here because I was too tired to go and find another one. I regret that I did not decide to just go by the reviews. Overall average in maintenance and cleanliness but extremely horrible in food. Rather go hungry than order food here. Worst food I tasted in my life. Kids were disappointed because we planned a 2 day trip but checked out next morning and drove downhill because we were frustrated with the hotel and not willing to tolerate anymore. If you can adjust/compromise a little on the cleanliness side then you may be able to stay here.
