Visiting the hotel and village are a must if you are touring Rajasthan. Sudhir is a wonderful host and a great guide to the fort. There are spectacular buildings on your doorstep and lovely friendly people living in the village. We enjoyed the excellent vegetarian food and they coped brilliantly with special dietary requirements. Everyone was friendly and helpful. This... More

The atmosphere that mixes the traditional architecture and modern style made our stay all the more comfortable. The family who runs the haveli made it a second home for us and everybody found a favourite corner, some at the roof terrace, some in the nice sitting room or the inner courtyard. We enjoyed very much the walk through the village... More

I went there with a big group (we were 30 people!). We rented the whole Haveli for us. The manager, Mr. Sudhir, has been very helpful and friendly. He told me that he made possible for all of us to have proper beds giving the task of making some of them to a local village carpenter family! The haveli is... More

This probably is the best place to stay in Chittor, firstly because of its location, up in the fort itself (a peaceful area compared to the town), and secondly because the owners are so friendly and helpful. But I don't agree that it is a five star experience for several reasons: 1. We were mostly fed excellent food, but the... More

We stayed 2 nights at the Padmini Haveli. I highly ecommend this place to those qho are looking for a simple family environment in one of the most amazing places in Rajasthan. The hosts are very nice and so are the rooms and the people in the village.

For two days (it should have been longer) we had the privilege of staying at this lovely haveli. Our hosts, Sudhir and Parvati, are both qualified guides to the wonders of Chittorgarh. Both speak excellent English and they explained to us the history of this remarkable place. Some of the guidebooks give the impression that Chittorgarh is today a desolate... More

We have just arrived home from a 3 week trip in India and the Haveli was one of the highlights of the trip. It is the only accomodation inside the fort and has only 7 rooms. There are only 5000 inhabitants inside the fort and they were so friendly to us on our walks. The Haveli is an oasis of... More

Our trip here in December 2012 was though short, very memorable. The caretakers Mr. & Mrs.Sukhwal and their nephew were extremely warm and the food given to us was traditional and delicious.Parvati Sukhwal's guided tour of Chittorgarh Fort was very informative. We enjoyed living in the old rajasthani cottage with its traditional bathrooms and small but compact rooms. It was a welcome... Located in a narrow and quiet street of the rural but beautiful Fort Village this new haveli which opened its doors just one year ago is one of the most surprising places to stay in whole Rajasthan. Rooms are spotlessly clean, simply but beautifully decorated with local crafts (and also with blankets by Anokhi which is a Jaipuri brand of... More
