There have been a lot of complaints in the reviews below. Yes, it's a fair way outside Munnar town, but anyone who has actually been to Munnar town should know this is a good thing. We stayed for three nights - the manager was unfailingly friendly, and the home-cooked curries were exceptional and healthy. The grounds were well-kept and there... More

We stayed here for two nights and while the setting is idyllic, it is far from Munnar proper and there are no places to eat within reasonable distance that we saw, so this was disappointing. For dinner, the owner charged 110 INR for a chicken curry dish and 55 INR for each veggie dish--we had to notify him in advance... More

We stayed two nights in mid march, this delightful hotel is a haven of peace,Rooms are spacious, comfortable,I especially enjoyed an afternoon nature walk to the cardamom plantation. There was a beautiful view from the balcony of my room , very good food, The gardens were most attractuve....If you are travelling to Munnar, don't stay in town, stay here, highly recommended.

Unfortunately, this guesthouse is misrepresented. It does not overlook a spice plantation (pretty trees, yes) and it is a 45 minute rickshaw ride to Munnar Town. Also, the website is not truthful (there is no internet connectivity or regular meal service, or hot water). At 1200 rupees, we would have been fine if there had been meal service on site... More

We stayed at Dew Drops for 2 nights. The place is really well kept and quiet, and Babu, our host, was really friendly and efficient. But: There is no particular view except on a large forest around (no view on tea plantations), the room was rather large (we took the middle option for 2500 INR) but quite empty and not... More

This place receives mixed reviews, which seem to depend mostly on expectations of the visitor. If you are wanting resort standard accommodation, you might want to look at the other (more expensive) options in the area. If you are traveling on a budget and willing to spend a bit more to stay in the hills, this place is very good... More

After busy Mumbai and many hours at trains, Dew Drops provided us with serenity, fresh air and breathtaking landscapes we needed so much:) . Dew at mornings, cozy restaurant with excellent food, helpful staff and so many things to see around.. One of the greatest destinations during your trip to India! Some of us will be coming back this year:)

We were very excited about staying here and pre booked 2 nights with the promise of its own restaurant (as we knew it was not near any village or town) and a chance to see the surrounding area (tea plantations, spice gardens etc). Unfortunately from the moment we arrived the young gentleman in charge was very unwelcoming and made us... More

This place is very isolated and cost R250 from Munnar (not R50 as stated in the Lonely Planet. Rooms are clean but there are stains on the blankets and table cloths and mats, and the furniture is a bit jaded. The manager although very pleasant seems really busy and it is hard to find him if you want to ask... More

Cute and quaint this seems like a good deal but it's not. It's a 45 min. rickshaw ride out of town and everything you'll want to see is on the opposite side of town. That means an extra 250 to 500 rupees per outing just because you're staying there. You're also isolated and stuck eating whatever they can make up... More
