Did not expect a government managed place to be so awesome. According to Indian standards this is a good government managed place, beatiful landscaped surroundings, friendly staff in every sense.

We stayed here for a night........ the property is huge & well manicured lawns with nice seasonal flowers around........ the rooms are big, but average in terms of decor & stuff........ food is average as well..... Location very good and very, very well kept gardens.The rooms need a revamp especially the bathroom.Food is very average nan-bread very chewy every night, limited buffet option.This is not a very clean place and staff are not that friendly. If you are here for one night then its not so bad.We stayed three nights and found that too long.

This place is OK. Not sure if Munnar is worth the drive. The room was tired. Stained lampshades, etc. Nice having a little deck to enjoy misty mountain views, but only dirty chairs provided. The dining room was barely acceptable. The grounds were lovely and I wondered if we were missing something, but I think not.

It was a welcome surprise when we checked in to Tea County in Munnar. The hotel is perched on the top and has some of the best maintained gardens I have seen. We stayed here for two nights. The hotel is comprised of several bungalows overlooking Munnar. The views are ok - Munnar itself is dusty, noisy and badly littered. So, it's good to be slightly away from the centre although everything is in walking distance. From a distance, Tea County looks like solace from the hustle and bustle of the city... More
