I spent 4 days at Zaphyr lodge while visiting Sumec Champey and it was one of my favorite trips in Guatemala. The hostel is comfortable, has great food, is very social, and has a gorgeous view of the mountains and river. They also organize trips to Sumec Champey and offer tubing as well. I'd definitely return

As many other people I ended up staying longer as planned. The Zephyr lodge has some of the best views I've seen in a hostel and is in an idyllic area in Guatemala. Overall we really enjoyed our 1 night. We had dorm beds near the bathroom / main lounge area. Definite party scene after dinner til 1/2am. Beds are futon mattresses and are hard as a rock.
