The guide books say that Trogir is a gem on the Dalmation coast - and it is. A medieval town, full of atmospheric alleyways and squares, surrounded by historic buildings and churches, the town is crammed with friendly restaurants and bars.
The Trogir Hotel is a small, family run hotel, opened last year in a town house converted to a high standard. The rooms are well furnished and spotlessly clean. There is an attractive patio restaurant, serving all the local stuff. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only adverse comment is the rather confused administration. A bit of work needed there guys!
The hotel is situated next to a small residential area near the football pitch, and so is a bit quieter than the neighbourhood near the bridge at the other end of the island, which is a relief as the town does get quite busy. Everything is within 10 minutes walk, and is very photogenic.
Restaurants do tend to have similar menus so you know that much of the stuff is caterers...
