The Valamar Rubin was an exceptional hotel. The food was great, the location perfect. It only takes 10-15 minutes to walk from the hotel to Poreč. The children had great fun in the pool. The room service was ok, comfy beds. Overall a great stay. More

We stayed for 5 nights in early October having spent 2 nights at another Valamar hotel on the other side of Porec. This was a good hotel and I cannot understand how it is so low in the recommended hotels list for Porec. First and foremost it has AIR CON. That alone should put it much higher in the chart.... More

I've been spending my vacations with my family in Hotel Rubin for at least 10 times in last 20 years - and it was always perfect! No matter the age of kids (from baby to 18!) the service was always good, rooms clean and spacy, and the food just according to my taste. The hotel should only be awound around... More

One of a group of three hotels. Best position nearest to beach, pleasant walk by sea-shore into town of Porec. Whole resort is amazing lots of places to swim or just relax on the rocks or grass. Had a room overlooking sea and trees, a bit small and a fridge would have been good to keep water cold. Very efficient... More

This is a good standard, tourist class, 3 star hotel. What sets it apart is that it occupies a stand alone site close to the Adriatic in pine woods. No traffic noise,no late night discos, hotel bar that closes at 11.30.If this sounds like a retirement home then that would be O.K. with me and most of the other patrons . The room... More

I read the reviews here the night before I departed and almost tried to change the hotel! So glad I did not do so. The food was great: huge range and good quality. Low fat alternatives at breakfast. Loved the bacon (cut thick griddled but fat easily cut off) and the smoked cheese and other meats. They do not have... More

We booked this hotel via internet. Price was affordable for two rooms (so called family room) because we have litlle baby. Cleaning lady did not do her job well. Hotel is full of staires so baby trolley needs to be carried a lot. Parking space was very hard to find. Hotel management sucks big time. They have a gestapo in... More

I really enjoyed my time in Porec, I can say that it was my best holiday ever. Porec is a lovely city, like Venice without the water. You can eat tons of fish and all other types of seafood but not ony. They've got everything for everyone. Be sure that you take a train trip to visist Plava laguna and... More

This hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and within ten minutes walk from Porec. The sun sets and panoramic views over the Adriatic are stunning. Unfortunately the hotel lets it all down....... badly. The Hotel is absolutely spotless it has to be said and the maids who look after the rooms work very hard to keep the place well presented.... Have already recommended this to several people. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Weather can be changeable in June. The pool is not deep which is obviously better for children. The sea is a few minutes walk and there are ladders into the water. It is better to wait for breakfast until the early rush is over... More
