My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Podstine for 3 nights in mid-May 2012 (literally just got back tonight), and it was unquestionably one of the best holidays either of us has ever had. I've never reviewed a hotel before, but this stay was so good I just had to. They picked us up (for free!) about a five minutes'... More

Stayed here during out near 1 week stay on Hvar as part of a longer holiday along the Dalmatian coast. Room was relatively basic given the price paid though comfortable and more than adequate. (You really are paying for the setting here, but all accommodation near Hvar town is pretty pricey) The common areas, breakfast room and particularly the private... More

The rooms were clean but a little dated, 4 star and peeling wallpaper!  The service was generally friendly and efficient. The food was uninspired and poor value for money, resulting in a lack of atmosphere in the restaurant and bar, especially in the evenings but maybe our late season arrival had more bearing on this? A captive audience ensured a... More

Dear AParker39 Thank you for taking time to review your stay, even if it was some 4 months ago. I am sorry that you perceived your stay negatively. I am not sure about peeling wallpapers, I checked all rooms, but could not find single one with peeling wallpapers. Again, it would be nice if you pointed that during your stay.... More

We stayed last September and were very disappointed with both the standard of the room - no better than a Travellodge - and the prices for basic food and drink. Fab location and lovely walk into town but could not recommend due to room quality. Shower also a mix of scalding and freezing. Poor, side view with limited and scruffy... More

Dear Millie239 Thank you for taking time to review your stay. Hotel Podstine has 3 different room type and accordingly size of the room as well as view from the balcony changes. I hope you will visit us again, and that time if you book better room, I am sure you will like it better. Kind regards Hotel Podstine Sime... More

We stayed at Hotel Podstine after much review of the hotels on Hvar and considered doing an apartment (like we did in Dubrovnik) but decided to do Hotel Podstine as part of our honeymoon. I would highly recommend asking what specials they have running, because I feel like we got an excellent deal by doing this considering the quality and... More

I requested a deluxe superior room and it was large, hip, and modern with a big balcony overlooking the descending patios of the hotel, trees and mediterranean ocean. They have a large breakfast buffet in the mornings, with a charming staff who will make lattes or whatever is requested. You can dine on the large balcony outside of the glass-walled... More

Loved our stay, great for families. A pleasant walk to town but far enough away from the crowds. The waterfront terrace is delightful as is the swimming. Rooms are basic, but the total sum of the experience perfect for our family.

The view from the room and the breakfast veranda was peaceful and Zen like. The staff could not be more helpful. They are knowledgeable of their island, and took the initiative to softly suggest hotel services. We were very well taken care of. Because it is more of a boutique hotel, the atmosphere is intimate and that of a quiet... More

Despite finding our room badly outdated and small, we would still recommend staying in the Podstine for it's location and exterior amenities. Although others have mentioned large rooms, our room was actually really small--saved by double doors opening onto a very private balcony with a lovely view of the ocean. We understand that the rooms are to be upgraded, but... More

Amazing view of neighbouring islands. Wonderful private beach. Some vey large rooms. Great spa and pool. Beautiful restaurant and bar. Very clean. Daily maid service. Free wifi, International TV channels. Excellent breakfast. A very scenic 20 minute walk to town. Free shuttle to Hvar ferry port or bus station on departure. I would recommend this hotel to people who like... More
