I thought this hotel would be great, judging by the Trip Advisor review, how wrong I was!
Although the room was tastefully decorated in traditional Chinese furnishings the lack of service and terrible breakfast made my stay memorable for the wrong reasons. The staff were hopeless, lacking basic English language. They seemed to be there killing time, certainly not helpful....

This tiny guest house is an absolute jem. It is located in Shuhe which is about a 10 minute taxi ride outside Lijiang, and as such, has none of the loud bar music that people say plagues the old centre of Lijiang at night.
The building is of traditional chinese architecture and dates back hundreds of years, and oozes character...
