This is a dingy hotel, but survivable except for the temperature. If it has air conditioning, they keep it turned way back, because it was barely cooler inside than out. Don't stay at this hotel. The rooms are dirty, the towels had stains and looked unwashed, and the food and service was not good. We had to fight with the waitress for a new glass of water. We have just come back from Turpan. This hotel is definately not cheap for what it is. Apparently it was only built 15 years ago we were shocked as it looked like something straight out of the 1960s! This hotel has ethnic touches that keep it interesting it is also cool which is important in Turpan. We ordered room service and the three of us each had an excellent meal.
