The rooms are large with a balcony and a basic bathroom. The air conditioner works well and the room is clean. WiFi is free with our room, the speed varied from room to room though. The water out of their taps are slightly brown and smelly and there is mould all over the shower curtain. This is a cheap room... More

The Khemara 1 Hotel, Battambang must not to be confused with the Khemara Hotel Battambang. They belong to the same group, but the latter is much more basic. The hotel is fantastic value. Standard room for 15US plus 3US for buffet breakfast gets you a spacious clean room with comfortable bed and soft pillows, efficient aircon, a clean well lit... More

This is a really inexpensive hotel - and if you have that in mind it is quit good! If you pay only 12 dollar you have to accept that the room smells a bit and that the towels are old. But - everything was clean, the room was big and you got water, a tooth brush and a soap. So... More

We were travelling from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap via Battambang and needed somewhere for just the one night. The airconditioned room was perfectly acceptable. It wasn't modern but clean enough. There were tuk tuks outside whenever we needed one to take us to the centre. Was definitely worth the money.

Good value hotel which offers good service, comfortable rooms and a nice environment. Unfortunately the hotel is very far away from the central markets area, needing a car or Tuktuk to get around.

Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable, spacious rooms, in the VIP section, including dressing room. Beds very comfortable. This hotel is suitable for travellers wishing to eat out as there is no restaurant, there are a number of styles of dining on offer, including take-away, within walking distance. The sister hotel Khemara Battambang 1 on Rd 515 allows free use of... More

First of all, be careful to distinguish between this hotel and their sister hotel -- the Khemara Battambang 1 Hotel. The latter is larger, has a pool, a restaurant, will arrange tours, is on the outskirts of town, and is set up for Westerners. This hotel is a little more basic (and substantially less expensive). We were the only Westerners... More

The Khemara Battambang is a tidy, well-run and very reasonably priced hotel close to the middle of Battambang town. We were pleasantly surprised by the large size and cleanliness of the rooms, and the staff were very friendly and helpful (they earned bonus points for being able to identify and give good directions to a restaurant for which we only... Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, very clean, nice pool, good food and wonderful staff. Our time in battambang was made extra special by our Tuk tuk driver called Thoeun, he took us on a guided tour of the local area to lots of different tourist sights in his super comfy tuk tuk. He only charged $15 and was... More

This review is about the more central Khemara Battambang Hotel (there's also another one more outside the centre which has a swimming pool). Anyway, this hotel looks just beautiful from the outside as well as from the inside. The staff is very friendly and the funny guard always used to salute us. Hilarious. The beds are just the best we've... More
