The BAD NEWS: It is an hour from the airport to Inle, then an hour by boat to the hotel - wear a hat & sunscreen because you'll be in the sun a long time...The hotel is surrounded by lots of water, which means there are mosquitos! Heat and ac unit did not work. Inle Lake is down right cold in the early morning. Style was meant to mimic the floating villages and it succeeded in that. Room nicely appointed. Dinner was good, breakfast, hot dishes were tepid.

We stayed three nights at the resort and were treated wonderfully. Friendly and attentive staff but not overbearing. they presented me with a surprise and a gift on my birthday and lent us a boat to paddle to local village on our own. Highly recommend it

The resort is constructed using local materials and style, we loved it but maintenance seemed to be wanting a little e.g. door hooks falling off. The location is close to most of the more interesting areas on the lake. However, you need about one hour for the lake crossing and another one hour for the taxi to the airport HEHO.... More
