The location of the hotel is amazing with beautiful views over the lake. Unfortunately the villas do rather feel very dated and in need of up-dating. Due to this you really don't feel like spending much time in them which is an issue for such a remote location.

Inle lake is so magical that you take the hotel as it is. Inle Resort is not great. We had a Royal Villa. But was not much Royal about it. We stayed there with two children from 5 and 8 years.
