Beautiful old hotel overlooking the valley - breathtaking and well worth the experience. Some staff speak English but they all tried very very hard to please. No complaints. The wooden floors are a nice change to ratty carpets you find in some 5 star hotels.

What I love about this hotel is that I feel so special every time I'm having my breakfast early in the morning with a romantic view of the town's hills and the river below. Staff is helpful and smiling. Location is perfect, right in the middle of the main street.

I only stayed for a night and enjoyed the view from the breakfast lounge in the morning. Receptionist girl and concierge were helpful and efficiently quick, though the room I received was dark with no view, however clean and comfortable. Make sure you ask as to where the room overlooks when checking in.

The VIP room was quite spacious and clean. I can classify it to a 4 * hotel room. the location was convinient, very close to the old city - 5 min walk. Good option to stay in Veliko Tarnovo.
