A very nice beach hotel. Staff really great. Rooms very nice. Not a lot to see if you don´t like the beach (Santos is 30-45 min away). Go here if you want the beach only.....not much more to do. It is really high-end, but really not a good prize-quality choice.
We have come here several times as this is one of the only options for kids near Sao Paulo. The kids club and babysitting service make it worth the trip. However, overall service is terrible! Trying to get drinks and food at the pool bar or beach is close to impossible. The rooms are pretty basic for the price they...

Of course City of Guaruja is not the best place in the world but the hotel itself is a real 5 stars hotel. Everything really good. The only detail I don't feel good is the smell outside the rooms in the elevator area. But in general is a perfect hotel.
It's a good place to go, specialy wgo lives in Sao Paulo. The menu is very nice and the spa is terrific includind the view. One thing to improve is the uniform because the most of employees was dirty or old.
The service on the hotel is not what you would expect in a 5 star hotel, there is nothing special in it. Of course you can't say that the rooms are bad, but they are not exceptional as well.
Unfortunately our holiday trip here was a big disappointment. The bad weather is something the hotel can't help, but there are many things wrong with this hotel. Just to mention some things: most of the staff didn't speak English! Horrible small bathroom. Room service brought 2 times the wrong food and it took more than 1 hour! Minibar was not...

Hotel was very full, and the Kids area a bit too crowded, specially during the kid´s meals. Service was a bit downgraded since my last stay, when the hotel was not as full. Areeas like the restaurants were sometimes too busy, with no child seats available and even waiting lines. Sea and weather an dpool service were awesome.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly and the location is spectacular. The big turnoffs are the extra charges. For a 5 star hotel they have the mentality of a Holiday Inn. They charge about $20 US for internet, per device, per day and charged extra for our coffee at lunch. Seems a bit tacky for a $650 US per night...

It is quite true as a reviewer points out below that the convention business does interfere with the atmosphere and services in general. What continues to be a major issue, however, is the restaurant. Not the food necessarily as it tends to be good or quite good even if repetitive but service: it's completely inadequate for a Sofitel, from the...
