But wow, what a LONG drive just to get to the bottom of the hill leading up to the resort! Buildings for sleeping are somewhat old, but because of very low number of people pleasant enough for us. When we ate dinner at Branding Iron Grille restaurant, there was only one other couple so we had a nice, romantic dinner.... More

We had a great time staying here. We are very avid skiers and have been all over the place this year, so far this was the most fun we had. If you've never been, GT is very small and quaint, everything you need right at the base. You won't use your car the entire time. The skiing was decent, if... More

I found some of the reviews gave me pause and I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. This isn't my first affordable slopeside lodging but this is the best among them. Grand Targhee is about the surroundings not the accommodations, which is why I visited, but the bed was comfortable and the pictures on the website show the appointment more... More

Stayed here last ski season (early March) and it was perfect! As another review noted, we weren't really there for the room... The room was basic, the walls were too thin...I know way more about the issues of the family in the next room than I want...the bed was good, and it was a perfect spot to stay for skiers... More

We've stayed at Grand Targhee twice now and love this resort. To be totally fair, the rooms aren't the greatest. It's basically a motel room with an upgraded super-comfy bed. Which, is just what you're looking for when you check in to a place like Grand Targhee: a comfy place to crash after spending all of your energy outdoors. We... More

I really loved the feel of this smaller ski resort. The food was great at the steakhouse, people that worked here were very friendly, and they get tons of powder snow. Only complaint was we stayed at the lodge and it really really LOUD, and we are a young couple that normally doesn't mind, but for the price we paid... More

Grand Targhee is a beautiful, quiet resort. We stayed for several nights prior to a beautiful wedding there. Our kids loved the activities at the resort. We swam every day, rode mountain bikes, rode the lift to the top for a spectacular view, and did the ropes course. We stayed in the Sioux Lodge in a loft suite with a... More

While not upscale, Targhee provided a comfortable stay for our Elderhostel group. Friendly staff, reasonably good food and some neat hikes make this a good off-season spot. Some of the furniture and carpets are a bit worn but overall the place was clean. (A prior TripAdvisor review had me worried, but the stay was pleasant enough.) More

Excellent value! This side of the Tetons is much less crowded than the Jackson Hole side. This resort was very clean, had especially happy staff, great food and beautiful rooms. We will be back. More
