Rodrigo and Felipe are amazing hosts. Both are extremely fluent in English and vey helpful in terms of advising where to go in Rio and how to get there via public transportation. It was great to be able to stay in a B&B 2 blocks away from Ipanema beach. The rooms are minimal but clean and the breakfast good. We... More

The location of this b&b is great. Can't beat it. One block from the heavenly sand of Ipanema, peer out the window to check the blue sky and bikinis on way to the beach...lovely. There is, however, a very significant But though. The property has some kind of damp which means that towels are mouldly, bikinis never dry, beach clothes... More

I was very happy to have discovered this accomodation type (pousada/bed & breakfast) since i usually only stay in 3/4 star hotels when i travel. However, i found the price of the hotels in Rio to be very over priced. I was wary of staying in a family home with other strangers, but after i had settled in - i... More

This B&B is located in a residential complex. It used to be a a 3 bedroom apartment and was transformed to a B&B. It is located in a GREAT area of Ipanema. You will be given a key to come and go as you please as there will not always be someone looking after the place. This made it feel... More

I stayed here for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The place is run by Felipe and his brother Rodrigo. During our time here we saw a lot of Felipe and he was so lovely, he went out of his way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. He helped us with any questions... More

You will be staying in one of three bedrooms with bath, all very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Our room faced the street with a large shuttered window from which fronds of a beautiful tree beckoned. You have use of a living area with computer service. Breakfasts are on lovely china, tastefully set and totally delicious. The Abreu brothers are... More

Was in Rio for 3 days with my wife a few days before Carnaval. The hosts are a nice couple of brothers. Neighbourhood feels safe, a 5 min walk to the beach and theres lots of great food nearby. Public buses were also all just round the corner which took us to the main attractions. Breakfast was a good start... More

Really want to say a big thanks to everyone here for making our first trip to S. America a really enjoyable experience. Location - difficult to beat. Felt much safer than most of Rio thanks to high level of policing in the area. Really just next to the beach and this is the star attraction.. Family were most welcoming. Both... More

Following advices of tripadvisor users, I stayed at the ipanema b&b with my girlfriend during the 3 first nights of our trip in Brazil. Rodrigo came to pick us up at the airport (for 70R$) with my name on a paper so we did not stress out in front of the ten people offering us a taxi ride. Rodrigo is... More
