Average hotel that needs remodeling. Their rooms look quite old. The location is awesome, with restaurants, drugstores, banks nearby and the beach a couple of blocks away. Avoid the rooms in the first 5 floors facing the noisy avenue, ask for those in the back.

At first, you may be surprised by a nice lobby. Front desk service is quite good. Unfortunately, the rest is not the same. You have two types of rooms - regular and "luxury". This hotel is ok. The location is great, but it really could be renewed. Everything is quite old, specially the bathrooms... I think it was built like in the fifties and never touched again. But what is really bad is the elevators: very small, only two of them for all the guests AND sfaff, they take a long time to... More

Where to start? oldfashioned rooms, dirty pillowcovers, noisy rooms facing a busy avenue, smell of urine in the stairs and I could go on... the worst of it all is that you pay 200USD for a room at this place! Really, try to go somewhere else, and may be you want to avoid Copacabana altogether, I personally like Ipanema better.

Cheap hotel considering location (very close to Copacabana). Simple rooms with older furniture, safe to keep you documents/money. Clean. Try not to get room facing back of the building-there is a big cooling/venting unit that is quite loud at night. Friendly staff and good continental breakfast.
