Good breakfast, very helpfull staff, recently refurbished rooms - small but adequate. Located in a side street away from the main traffic noise and tourist areas. Handy for Metro and buses. Internet worked fine - free access in reception.

Argentina Hotel is located in Praia do Flamengo, and you have good access to Copacabana, Santos Dumont Airport, Downtown, etc. The entrance and corridors are still very old, but the rooms were remodeled and you will find them very clean and with enough space for a couple. Rooms tired, limited furnishings. Breakfast good, day reception staff good. Reasonably quiet. Internet almost never works, and wifi only reaches to ground and 1st floor even when it does. Very frustrating, and staff unable to assist with Internet. Location good. Seems overpriced.

Stayed here for 3 nights in Nov 2005. Good location - OK its not Ipanema but handy for Metro and usual tourist sights. Helpful staff and management plus a really nice breakfast. Room didn´t have a view but overall a good recommendation.
