Definitely not a four star hotel, as per European and US rankings. Air-condition was very loud and we hardly used it. Location is very good and breakfast is great. Just a stone throw from the beach and the views from the roof terrace are splendid.

The room in the Mirasol Copacabana hotel was very far from meeting expectations. There were plastered cracks in the walls, there was a flood before we checked in and part of the wall was covered with paper. See pictures. The floor was dirty when we checked in and the toilet did not work. The room itself was extremely old and... More

For the price we got it it could not be any better! It's not a 5* hotel so don't exepct too much from it, but it was confortable and had a great location about 3 blocks from copacabana beach and 2 from the metro.... The only down side of it is that they charge too much for Internet and the... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night before heading to a conference in Paraty. For $170, we had a spacious room with a desk, table and chairs. It's an easy walk to the beach, the grocery store, and the restaurant Amir with its super-delicious Shawarma. The staff was busy but pleasant, and although it was raining, the rooftop... More

First of all, it is a very expensive hotel and it really doesn´t worth the price. Old rooms, dirt air conditioning and I didn´t like the way they treated me. For what they ask, I was surprised by a terrible experience!

Typical hotel that had its glory days, but has not been renovated or modernized and still labels itself as a four star. The rooms are cramped, with old furniture, noisy and dirty air conditioning (not split models!), poor cleaning, old carpet, slow and bureaucratic staff. During my stay, one of the two elevators was broken. Each elevator ride cost me... More

This hotel costed me a fortune and I don't think it was worth the price. It really needs a makeover. Pros: Nice brakfast, nice rooftop, proximity to beach Cons: Expensive, you need to pay for internet, you need to pay for using the room's safe (!, I know, it's ridiculous), old 70s decor, having been put in a smoking room... We ended up staying at this hotel at the beginning of a four week travel around Brazil. We ended up in Rio two days earlier than planned due to air france strikes and as it was an extremely busy period in Rio this was the only available hotel which we booked on arrival in Rio! The location is pretty good... More

I thought it was great, short walk to the beach, rooftop pool and small gym, amazing breakfast with great selection of fruit. Close walk to subway and internet cafes right there. For the price it was wonderful
