Very unimpressed. Not recommended for a business traveler. Nice hotel space with stone everywhere. Balcony is an added bonus when you have a ocean-view. My main issue was the service staff at the front desk and at the door. They were unapproachable and unfriendly. They made me feel guilty when I had to ask them something. I had to reprogram... More

Large comfortable rooms are the main feature at this hotel. It is located at the north end of Barra on the beach and the street nearby has lots of good restaurants, bars and some shopping. I have stayed in two rooms and both had many basic small flaws. Woke up one night to a flood on my floor (air conditioning... More

Terrible service at reception, they are doing you a favor to look at you, if you ask for the hotels managers or directors??? Good Luck they are even worse, rude and without experience.

I stayed here, on business, in early March 12. The check-in was efficient without being overly friendly. They did, however, speak reasonable English. On exiting the lift, the corridor was gloomy, which got only slightly better when the movement sensitive lighting came on. My room overlooked the beach and was large and clean. It had a small balcony and the... More

I was surprised at the negative reviews on this hotel. My husband lived her for over a year. My 8 year old son and I visited 3 times, staying a total of 11 weeks. I was very happy with our room, the morning breakfast was very, very good, offering a large variety of fresh fruits, cheese, meats and breads as... More

This is an awful hotel. I came for business purposes and had to stay in the hotel for 2 weeks. It is incredibly expensive for a very basic room. The hotel lounge looks modern and inviting, but the actual hotel room is completely different in contrast. My room had a tiled floor and the bare basics. There was a filthy... More

They made us wait a long time to check in (until after 3:00 pm). They lost our reservation, and then refused to honor the price even when we showed them the confirmation. There were several staff members behind the desk - all of them had this "screw you I don't care" look on their faces as they "helped" us resovle... More

The hotel was much less than expected, old style room, dirty bathroom with insects, very low speed and expensive internet, rude front desk staff, 4 dollars per piece to keep your lugage for 2 hours...... low quality overall. One day the room was not cleaned, other day no towels in the bathroom.....on top of this, discovered that Tijuca beach was... More

I have stayed in this hotel because this was not too far from Expo Centre. it is a nice and decent hotel with nice decent rooms. The breakfast was good, i love to eat fresh fruits so i loved it and i was getting fresh Pineaple, Papaya and other fruits whihc is excellent. The only problem i faced that there... More

I had the misfortune of arriving at the hotel with confirmation in hand (made through Carlson Wagonlit Travel (a reputable travel agency that books all our business travel). The company that represents Royalty issued me a confirmation. I was rudely told at the front desk that confirmation numbers mean nothing and the hotel had been booked full for a week.... More
