I stayed here overnight under emergency circumstances (flight delay). The rooms seemed a run down, but the in room beer was cheap.

Our family stayed there from Jan 17 to 21, 2012. The room is worse than a typical motel, small (extremely), old, noisy and many devices were not functioning. It was in summer but the AC did not work. The AC upstairs was leaking and the water drops made big noise on our window. Their solution was having our window open...

My husband and I stayed here during 6/27-7/1/11 during our travel in Rio de Janeiro. Overall, it's a decent low-budget hotel if you are looking to save money and stay close by the trains/attractions- approx. 10 min. to Rue de Gloria or a further walk to Rue de Lapa. You will risk your life getting in or out of the hotel.
Acomodations are dirty, old and unconfortable (your house's floor is better)
And more: There are other hotels in the same price...

I was missold a room in this hotel believing it to be a 4* hotel. This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was very poor quality, the air-conditioner fell off the wall and the shower emptied into an open drain you could easily get your leg stuck in. Several items in the minibar were...

It was just horrible: dirty, decadent, full of prostitutes, the staff (which was meant to speak several languages) spoke portuguese only. Have a look to the pics to have an idea!!!
