I loved my stay at hostel Bambu... The place was easy to find and the aircon was much appreciated. It was rather clean and didn't feel much like a hostel as each room was different and the bathrooms felt like any house's bathroom and not a hostel's. The backyard was just great with the bbq and the swimming pool... As... More

We arrived thinking our last hostel had called and confirmed a booking for us, no such luck. The staff here were very apologetic and rang around looking for another place for us. They also told us to feel free to hang around if we needed to to use the internet, have a swim etc. The staff really went out of... More

The staff were so helpful, always politely asking you if you knew where you were going and how to get there as you left the hostel. It is a reasonably small hostel, so in my opinion this helps to have a better atmosphere and makes it easier to meet people. However, if you don't have much time at the falls,... More

the rooms are not worth the money (althouhg clean und alright), but the hostel compensate that fact by a free airport pick up, a good breakfast, very fast internet and a nice community area with a pool (small but a pool). the bathrooms definetly need to be cleaned more often and one should bring earplugs along if you plan to... Generally a good experience, the only bad thing that comes to mind is that I had to rent a towel, and you should not be the kind that needs it cold when sleeping (if in the mixed dorms). The staff helped me out far more than you can expect. Fixed me tour on the Itapu, laundry, bus tickets etc. Good... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in February and would have stayed longer if we could. Really good value, comfy bed, great breakfast including toasties, quiet location, great staff with useful info. Bathroom could have been cleaner and make sure you book for as many nights as you need as priority seeme to be given to new guests. Would definitely recommend. More

A group of 5 friends and me stayed in a dorm here for 2 nights. The staff on reception were genuinely warm and welcoming and that was the atmosphere of the whole place. It was very easy to get chatting to other guests around the bar. There's a common room with TV and a couple of internet terminals (but the... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights for 35 Real per bed per night. The dorm rooms weren't too cramped and there was space for all our things. Also there were two showers and a toilet connected to the room. We aren't really into the hostel party scene but found Bambu to be just right - there is... More
