If you are looking for luxury accommodation, a great spa and fine dining, go elsewhere. This spot is a jewel for eco-tourism, allowing you to dive deep into nature. No cell phone coverage!! But the Pousada has WiFi internet, which works pretty well, and via Skype, you can call your folks back home to share what you have seen. We... More

I have been with my two kids (5 and 13 years old) and my mother to Fazenda São Francisco for 4 nights, 5 days. My wife couldn't make because of her appointments. The place is really awesome. It is a big farm, which has over 50% of the land dedicated to protect the environment, but even the other 50% they... More

Our one day pass was an excellent way of enjoying the fazenda without incurring too much cost. Many hotels available in Miranda so to commute in and out for the day was very easy and as a bonus very affordable. As it happened they were fully booked with a party of 30 so there was no way we could have... More

It's a amazing place for wildlife watching. Especially for birding and Giant Anteaters. With some luck ocelot or even a jaguar. The lodges are verry basic. A big disadvantage is the possibility of sleeping next to a bunch of kids who are on a trip from school. We were not lucky... it was noisy until 4 o'clock in the middle... More

We stayed at Fazenda Sam Francisco for 2 days with our 13 old son. Fazenda Sam Francisco is an amazing place to stay and taste the pantanal at ll its nature and beauty. They offer day and night activities and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Gabriel was our guide and was amazing! Thank you.

Our birding group spent 3 great nights here: wildlife viewing is superb, world class. Excellent views of giant anteaters, giant river otters (one of rarest mammals in SAmerica), ocelot, tapir, crabeating foxes, coatamundi, capybara, caiman, monkeys, & thousands of birds. The Fazenda includes morning, afternoon, evening drives with onsite naturalists, hikes on extensive boardwalks through wetlands, in addition to riverboat... More

We stayed in Faz San Francisco for just one night however we saw more wildlife than everyone we met who had gone on a 3 day tour. Even though the stay seems expensive to a budget traveller, a 1 day stay is actually cheaper than most budget pantanal tours and it includes 3 great tours, tasty food and a very... More

It's a very busy place, since they cater to day trips from Bonito, I prefer a place which takes care of the guests only.Saying that, the staff were amazing.Nothing was too much. The food was not up to par (boring after a day),but there are a number of activities which fills your day.We had an English speaking guide (Marcos) for the... More

My husband, 23 year old daughter and I spent 2 full days at Fazenda San Francisco and it was very nice. The rooms are big, clean, a/c, fridge, hot shower. Simple and comfortable. The hotel staff organize photo safaris, day and night, horse back rides, birdwatching and boat rides. You spot many different animals and staff are passionate about nature.Food... More

I spent two days in fazenda San Francisco. Had tried before the famous "ecologic" Fazenda Caiman but they required a minimum stay of three days and asked three times as much (more than 700 US$ per day for a single!). The owner were nice, friendly and accommodating. A fazenda is a big chunk of territory (this one, some 15,000 hectars,... More
