Backpacking around Brazil, we find a restful and relaxing place at Ambar Pousada. Everything is great there and it made us appreciate again more Salvador. We are a 60 something couple who spent several days over Christmas 2012 at Ambar Pousada. It was fabulous. “Good Pousada”

This pousada is a very comfortable, careful management and present, rooms clean and tidy and essential. Excellent breakfast always varies and well-stocked. “Nice place but beware of mosquitos!”

The place was nice, the owner (French) very friendly as well as the staff. The breakfast was the greatest we had in Brazil, with lots of choice. The place is very clean. The bathrooms were like private bathrooms, which I really appreciated, and we did not have to queue as it was low season and the dorms were rather empty... More

“A really nice place to stay”

Ambar Pousada was a nice hotel : the rooms were clean, the breakfast really really good , and the staff helpful ! The location is also nice, it is located in a quiet neighbourhoud close of bus to pelourinho, 2mn from the beach, with little restaurants and cheap bars. I STRONGLY recomanded this hotel.

“Pleasant Stay!”

Staff members are very nice and friendly, especially Amelia been very helpful during the stay. The location is ideal because of nearby Beach. It's nice place to stay with family members or for a couple on vacations. Buffet Breakfast was good too.

“Lovely Pousada”

Lovely Pousada! Extremely friendly staff that makes you feel home. Good location closed to the beach, restaurants, supermarket and bus stops. The pousada is very clean and safe. Excellent breakfast buffet. If some day I come back to Salvador (cross fingers ;)), I will stay here again. Thanks a lot to the Ambar team for this great time in Salvador
