Before we came, the staff told us he could help us book a shuttle to pick us up at airport which would costs US$85. We felt it was too expensive and turned out it took only R$100 by prepaid taxi. We arrived at night and felt the hotel was at a very unsafe location, although it was very close to... More

I stayed at Colonial Chile in Dec 2011, for Xmas & New Year's Eve. Conveniently located close to Peleurinho (walking distance), safe area. Across the street, you had shops, pharmacy & bus station (buses that took you to the beach area). Public transport is safe and quite reliable. Coming back to the hotel, we stayed there 2 weeks. Breakfast was... More

The Hotel Chile is located in a renovated colonial building at a five minutes' walking distance from the Pelourinho. Our room was spacious and clean, but simple and bare. The bathroom was very small. Staff do not speak English but are friendly and helpful. The immediate environment (many empty buildings) is a bit desolate aand spooky at night, but during... More

This place is okay. It's in a very interesting colonial building near the historic center, and the service is fine. However...it was less clean than some of the other hotels I stayed at in Brazil. Hair in the shower drain, stains on the bed cover... I think the cleaning staff has just gotten a little lazy. The breakfast was fine... More

Right in the center of Salvador. Very beautiful hotel with old wooden floors. Gorgeous back side views onto the lower town and the Ocean. I was there during the Carnaval and had a room with a front view, right onto the main Carnaval route. I could enjoy views from the privacy of my room for as long as I wanted;... More

This hotel is located in the main street of Salvador da Bahia, 20 meters far from the Elevador Lacerda and 5 minutes far from the center. The rooms are clean, with bathrooms and TV. Unfortunately aou room didn't have a place to store the clothes neither the bags, but this was the only bad point. Some rooms and the breakfast... More
