Typical ALOFT - trendy, functional and in a VERY quiet area. Hotel staff is extremely helpful. My room was clean and had everything I required. Close to the airport and freeway. Not many restaurants / shooping within walking distance - you have to have a car to get around.
Did the "stay and fly" thing...worked out great. Stayed the night before, and parked there for six day trip. Shuttle coming back was hard to get after midnight, and took two phone calls, but we made it. The "Bliss" toiletries and hair products were great. great, clean room. big comfortable bed. no complimentary breakfast. i'm gonna stay here every time i go to DC. abt 40 mins from DC but worth it.
We took a flight from Seattle to LAX to pick up our son and then the red eye to Washington Dulles for an afternoon flight to Frankfurt. The red eye LAX flight arrived at 6:00 AM east coast time (which was our 3:00 AM pacific time) and the Frankfirt flight did not leave until later at 5:00 PM that afternoon....
