We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin. We had a nice corner room, which was quiet despite major construction happening on the other side of the street. Upon checking in I was impressed by the entrance to the hotel, very neat clean and upscale. The honeymoon ended there however. While the lobby is well appointed the rooms show age and severe wear. I've stayed at numerous Westin's around the country and this one is the second worst (Boston tops my list of worst stays). The hotel itself is uninspriring for a new hotel, the lobby is small and uncomfortable. The pool/hot tub closed early so that I was unable to make use of it during the operating hours. The Westin was beautiful, but they don't seem very accomodating to business travelers. They charge for WiFi and the paper if you want it delivered to your room. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean, but I did not consider the hotel a good value. more

My husband had a pet food convention at the Westin Arlington Gateway so we received a discounted rate of $169/night. Hotel is upscale, centrally located with a mall nearby which isn't really much to speak of. We did not rent a car but instead took a cab from Dulles Airport.
