Best location of any hotel for walking around Alexandria, but hotel itself is disappointing. After my reservation they solicited for a room upgrade for nominal fee but they check-in clerk had no record of my upgrade request. Parking garage is probably the dirtiest I've ever been in. Beautiful hotel - the "living room" aka lobby was very welcoming and inviting with its dark blue walls and fireplace. My family's visit at the Monaco hotel was our first. Having stayed in hotels around the country and overseas, I would give this hotel the highest rating in all catagories. This is a wonderful hotel with a great staff. You feel important the minute you walk into the lobby. Lovely hotel! Price goes up and down from a nice $130 to some nights being $250. I've stayed many times at this hotel and it's always a lovely evening with lots to do!!! Definitely a nice place to stay to end your night whether you're on vacation or on buisness. more
