We got a great rate through Priceline. It is convenient to a lot of restaurants and everything that is happening downtown. I am annoyed at having to pay $25 everyday to park. But it is a city and parking is a luxury. We were disappointed by the restaurant in the hotel. The food was mediocre and the service was nasty.

Standard Marriott Courtyard - decent bed, sizable room, standard breakfast. Great location in the heart of downtown Austin. The lobby areas are being refurbished, which caused some noise, but only during the day.

Pros:
* Located across from convention center and within walking distance to all parts of SXSW.
* Comfortable beds and pillows.
