Great place, great owners. A wonderful mix of thoughtfulness and quality. We LOVED the sheets. There is a wonderful balcony off room 12 (and other rooms as well). Oh, and the cookies were perfect.

I stayed here recently for 3 nights and it was great. The owners are not around much i dont see that as a problem, you can phone them if you want.
The house itself is great and more of a museum than anything, very nice decor inside. There is a verande downstairs and a balcony upstairs with rocking chairs. I...

To stay in the older and historic house has its own unique atmosphere and I enjoyed everything. The accommodation was great, the location near university campus, but close to downtown and breakfast was delicious - every day fresh baked cake, different sort of fruits, bacon etc.
I would definitely recommend staying there and if I will return to Austin, it´s...

It's an older place but well maintained, with only two complaints. First though, great location, right in the thick of things. Right beside the UT Austin campus, walking distance to the tower and other sights. Close to everything. Good parking, beside the place. Breakfasts were really nice. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean. There's a...

We loved it! Jenifer and Christina were awesome and always had an answer for any questions that we had for them. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay close to UT campus. Our room was spacious, beautiful decorated and very clean. I will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Austin. The breakfast was...

We stayed in the attic room and pieces of the wall were falling off. There was also a piece of junk just laying on the floor. The curtain to the attic window was bent and hanging. The shower curtain hung in the tub and was filthy. The breakfast was cold and minimal. They did not have a host that stayed...

It was my first time staying in what seems to be an old house turned into a b&B with character. I stayed in a very small room that was comfortable but had a very strange feeling to it, almost like sleeping in a museum. And the layout is just something I had never seen before: A sink next to the...

The Star of Texas Inn is a jewel of a B&B in the heart of Austin, TX. The nine rooms on two stories of a vintage gingerbread-style house with a wrap-around porch are well-appointed and cozy. The room in which I stayed (#10) has its own porch and separate entrance. Other rooms enter into the main part of a quaint...

We stayed just one night to visit UT austin, so the location was great. We arrived late, and followed the instructions to get into our room. Room 13 was nice, with great AC and a huge bed. The towels were thick and the bathrobes were nice, not too heavy and quite absorbent. We were allowed a late checkout at 2pm...

Stayed for a week while attending a short course and conference at UT. Location is superb for access to UT, lunch/dinner food options, nearby sites (History and Art museums, LBJ library, capitol building). Public transit access is great as well and location is near to major route stops- $1/trip or $2/day pass. Surrounding neighborhood is active, yet safe and quiet...
