My husband and I had been anxious to check out Austin for a potential move. The opportunity finally arrived and we hoped we had chosen a great place to stay. The reviews here indicated that it would be. We were not disappointed! The location on Lake Travis was perfect, and we were able to stay in a wonderful bridal suite.... more

Don't get married here! Beautiful yes, but otherwise..be prepared to be lied to, and to potentially get a phone call several months later that they screwed up and didn't charge a fee that they said in numerous ways was charged (I'm not talking a couple hundreds dollars either, I am talking thousands!!). The GM has no heart, and is very... more

As always, I appreciate honest feed back about our service. This guest had her wedding in June of 2009. In her written response to our follow up survey she wrote that she considered herself to be, “organized and detailed”. She wrote in the comment section, “The Vintage Villas staff was great”. She wrote that responsiveness to her needs was “excellent”....

My husband and I spent 24 hours at Vintage Villas and enjoyed every minute! The rooms are each unique, clean and so welcoming. The toiletries were perfect.. and I loved the fact we had a shower and soaking tub! We had a nice view of Lake Travis and the courtyard. The country breakfast was overwhelming! You could find anything you... more

I was lucky enough to stumble upon this hotel while shopping for somewhere to take my Girlfriend for her birthday in the Austin/Lake Travis area. I have stayed in a number of Austins four star hotels, and they pale in comparison to VV. We enjoyed the fact that it wasn't like a commercial cookie cutter hotel. The service was astonishing... more

We were in Austin for a couple of days midweek to tour downtown and visit friends in the suburbs. This hotel, only 20 minutes from downtown, was convenient for both. Our room was super clean, spacious and furnished with heavy Spanish style furniture reflecting Texas history. The king bed was firm and comfortable, and the bathroom was large with plenty... more

Hi Grandma-o2 from Indiana, Thank you very much for your review. I really appreciate you staying with us at Vintage Villas and for taking your time to review you visit. I apologize for the road construction that was happening during your visit and the month of June 2009. Correctly stated, we had the power lines in front of the hotel...

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding held at Vintage Villas. It is beautifully landscaped and a good choice for wedding photos. I loved walking around the location at night and sitting out on my wrought iron patio furniture in the morning, reading and checking my email. (The WIFI is free and fast!) The service was so great, I felt... more

We loved Vintage Villas. We requested a room with a private balcony because some of the rooms share one. Each room has its own style; ours was decorated with French Country accents - nice pale blues and yellows and had a king-sized bed, two chairs, armoire with t.v., built-ins with a small refrigerator and microwave, and a beautiful view of... more

Thank you volcanogirl for your review. We are thrilled that you had a great stay with us at Vintage Villas. Weekends are definately our busier times and are generally occupied by wedding guests in the Spring. We really appreciate your comments and hope to see you again. Thomas

Thank you for a wonderful night stay. We just celebrated our three year anniversary on the 3rd and this offer could not have come at a better time. I also requested the Texas building in the Fredericksburg room, where we stayed on our wedding night, and my request was granted. We also had an amazing meal over at Hudson's on... more

We won an overnight stay from a silent auction and upon reading the reviews, were slightly hesitant about booking a room. Our fears were unjustified. The rooms were spacious, each one with a balcony overlooking Lake Travis and the sunset. The lanscaping was beautiful and the bed was comfortable. Our airconditioner didn't work and they immediately switched us to another... more

This hotel was recommended by a family member who lives close by. The hotel is very quaint, overlooking Lake Travis. We were in building three, which I don't recommend. I believe the other two buildings have a better view of the lake. Some repairs are needed to the balcony of the room we stayed in. Other than that, the room... more

pboulanger, thank you very much for your review. I appreciate you giving your time and consideration to Vintage Villas. All of our guest rooms face Lake Travis. We do not have any rooms facing the parking lot side of our property. Our best lake views are from our 3rd floor in the East Texas Villa (Building 3) or from any...
