We went on a couple's getaway to the Amethyst Inn and couldn't be more pleased. It was perfect. The price was great, the bed was comfortable, and the jucuzzi tub was an unexpected luxury. Whether you're looking for a quiet getaway or a weekend of fun, the surroujnding area has everyhting you could want. we spent one day wandering the... More

I have stayed at this B&B twice. once for my birthday (during grad school, perfect time for a break), & another time a few months later (also during grad school, while i was interning, even better time for a break!). The staff was excellent. friendly, accommodating, & they remembered us when we returned the 2nd time. the rates are also... More

We visited the Adamstown Inn for a birthday weekend and we couldn't have chosen a better location. The bed and breakfast is very romantic with wonderful rooms and excellent service. Even though it was a bed and breakfast we felt like we were in our own private niche throughout the weekend. We stayed at the Cobalt suit which included a... More

We spent 4 nights at the Amethyst Inn in the Topaz Room. We love old houses, especially Victorian ones, so we fell in love with this house. Our room was pretty and clean. The bed was cozy and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. The shower head is over the Jacuzzi and had adequate pressure for a good long... More

We stayed in the Dragonfly Cottage. Very comfortable beds and really enjoyed the hot tub. The fireplace was a nice touch but the living room furniture is uncomfortable. A little disappointed in the breakfast, 4 boxes of dried cereal, instant oatmeal and store bought muffins. The Inn is in a good location, centrally located to Reading, Lancaster, Intercourse and Harrisburg.... More

Thank you for choosing one of our Vacation Homes for your visit in Lancaster County. We love knowing that guest had a fabulous time. We were sorry to hear about the misunderstanding about breakfast. Staying in one of our vacation homes is different than our Bed and Breakfast accommodations. All of our Vacation Rentals have fully equipped kitchens and breakfast... More

Tucked away in a very small town with pretty much nothing to do except look for antiques, this was such a nice surprise!! I would go back to Adamstown again in a heartbeat, for no other reason than to stay in this quaint and comfortable Inn. The innkeeper was friendly and pleasant but non-intrusive. Our room was filled with antiques,... More

My husband & I have been coming here in April & November 4 years now. Best place ever. Wanda, Tom and Kristen are the best hosts. They make us feel at home and so welcomed. The best place ever!!! Of course, the antique shopping is a plus and see you all in November. Stephane and Arthur Leonetti More

Made a last minute trip out to Lancaster County on Labor Day weekend. Everything was great. Easy to find location on a quiet street, nice off-street parking... very nice atmosphere... warm greeting by Kristen.. smooth check in.. nicely decorated room with private porch. The common areas looked great. We had a nice dinner at Stoudt's Brewery up the street and... More

We booked two nights at the Amethyst Inn for our honeymoon. We'd picked the place because of it's close proximity to the antique stores nearby (which were great!), and the fact that it was something out of the ordinary as compared to a regular hotel. The property is very nice, and the inn itself had a lot of charm. Furnishings... More

Thank you for choosing the Amethyst Inn for your honeymoon. Yes, we agree the antique shopping is awesome. There are so many eclectic shops to explore. As part of our ongoing concern for the environment and the green conservation movement, we utilized water saving shower heads. We were unaware that this was an issue for our guests and have since... We stayed at the Amethyst Inn (part of the Adamstown Inns & Cottages family) as a family of four and loved it. Each of us, from the 44 year-old experienced B&Ber to the 9 year-old critic/princess, found something to love about the Amethyst Inn. We were so happy that we canceled our reservations for the next stop of our trip... More

Thank you so much for your informative comments and your detailed review. We would like to especially thank you for bringing to our attention the support on the antique Davenport Bed. We were unaware that the structural support for the bed had broken. Although we are sad to see an antique be replaced, we will be purchasing a new sofa... More
