We recently stayed at this B&B for a wine tasting weekend in Ashland. The owners started by greeting us as we drove up and were so friendly and welcoming throughout our entire stay. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was served out on the side porch at a cozy table set for six.... more

is an absolute delight! and one of the selections you can decide on as your room of choice. Innkeeper John is immediately at the ready to greet you and provide a warm and friendly welcome. He takes the time to share the "History" of the original owners and their property. What is remarkable is the foresight that Cathy, his wife... more

I've stayed at the Ashland Mountain House several times before (pictures are from Oct 2007)-- but I only recently discovered Trip Advisor, so this review is coming in a bit after-the-fact. This beautiful B&B richly deserves both rave reviews and many visitors. Just don't book all the rooms when I want to be there! The Mt. House is a special... more

As frequent business travelers and visitors at more B&B's than we can remember my husband and I had great expectations for our recent stay at Ashland Mountain House. Situated close enough to town for convenience but set apart in a lovely bucolic landscape the Inn was easy to find as the pretty yellow farmhouse sits like a beacon on the... more

This was my first trip to Ashland and our stay at the Ashland Mountain House was absolutely perfect. Out in the country, only a few minutes from town, you are awoken by birds and the rooster. John and Kathy are marvelous hosts- giving you any attention you need but also allowing for privacy. The house and rooms are beautifully restored... more

We just returned from our best trip to Ashland -- simply because of the Mountain House. When we first arrived at the yellow house, John greeted us immediately. We settled into our Brick House when John came to give us a tour. He shared with us the amazing history of what is now the Ashland Mountain House. When it was... more

We were just passing through Ashland on a family road trip from San Francisco to Vancouver, but had we known how wonderful it was going to be would have definitely booked for longer than one night. Our three teenage children stayed in the delightful Brick House, while we were in the very elegant Barron Room. The house and setting are... more

All of the reviews are right. This is a very special place. We are already planning a return. We loved the bucolic setting, the meticulously restored inn, the passion for the history of the house related by John, the excellent assistance with restaurants and maps (hand drawn to our interests), the wonderful coffee, delicious breakfasts, and the tempting library. We... more

We stumbled upon the Ashland Mountain House when we Googled Ashland, Oregon. After reviewing several high end hotels, we decided that we needed a more comfortable, peaceful place to stay with our two children (11 and 14) while visiting the Ashland area. Although our trip was to be short, only four days, it was going to be filled with adventure... more

How often does one get to stay in a lovingly restored grand 1850's era home and former stagecoach stop, especially one that is run by a great cook and her raconteur husband? We stayed in the height of the theater season and booked a bit late and so had to change rooms. We were in the Barron and Gibbs rooms,... more
