I loved our stay at Atlantic Beach and Oceanana was so friendly we plan on staying there every year. After reading the mixed reviews for the Oceanana, I called the Visitor's Center and Health Department of Atlantic Beach just to check on things. The Health Department informed me of their rating - higher than the resort condotel I stayed at... more

Worst hotel I have stayed at; Rooms are the size of my bathroom; AC is freezing and now way to adjust, my son and both got sick, The noise level is very loud and impossible to sleep (cars with sound systems), insulation is nonexistent. The rooms smell like old feet, no privacy whatsoever, all – night long peeping toms peeking... more

My husband and I went bottom fishing in October and wanted to stay by the pier in case we needed to do more fishing. The hotel was overpriced for October. The rooms were not ocean view. There was a hotel down the road that had ocean front balconies for $20 less. The weather was beautiful, but the room needed updating... more

The room was so small, dark and smelly that my friends & I couldn't even spend the night there. The room had a strong fish smell. There was barely enough room for 3 of us to stand in the room. There was a glass sliding door (the only window and entrance to the room from the outside corridor/balcony), but in... more

The hotel is run down, looks like it is out of the 50's. But the staff was really friendly and we had most everything that we needed. It is right next to the water and we found some awsome shells. Seems like a great place if you love to fish. The pier was nice. I do not think that it... more

I just love everything about the Oceanana. The staff is wonderful and there is usually someone there who will remember me by name. I've only stayed there about 5 or 6 times but I absolutely love it. During one of my stays there, I met my current husband and for that I am greatly indebted to the Oceanana. I plan... more

Let me try to address some of the negative reviews: The beds - they may not be truly full-sized. I don't know. But they were comfortable enough. After a full day of swimming, shopping, more swimming and walking the pier, we could have slept on anything. The beds were fine. The facilities - not the most luxurious in town, but... more

My aunt (now 76) has been staying at this motel for 20 years. Last year was the first year for me. I stayed there on three separate occasions. One of those stays included my aunt and my three oldest grandsons (7,5,3). Here's my take on the Oceanana. It AIN't fancy and I don't consider this a resort but it does... more

The Oceanana should be ashamed that it calls itself a "resort". There's nothing here that would appeal to anyone born after the second world war. The playground area is a joke, with homemade contraptions that would be better served as medieval torture devices. The refrigerators in the rooms will barely keep a drink cool on high and the air conditioning... more
