No kidding here: in November '07 I was there when King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia visited Ankara and he elected to stay at the Swisshotel (security was heavy, I can tell you, with policemen at every floor... not to mention soldiers around the building). Very nice place to stay in Ankara. Rooms are big, people working there are friendly. There are two restaurants and one bars in which you can get quite good food. Only problem is that it is not in city center and might be hard to get there in the mroning because of traffic-jam more

The staff were excellent at the Swissotel, from the minute we arrived. Our suite was immaculate. Spacious is an understatement. Luxury bedding and towels earn extra points.
