Stayed at the Hawkesdene House this past weekend with a group of about 10 people. My BF has been going for about 5 years now, and this is my first time here. We stayed in the main house in the upstairs room with the private balcony. The decorations, art, and over stuffed furniture made this B & B very unique.... More

My wife and I stayed in the main house, as part of a larger group that rented the entire property for the weekend. The grounds are beautiful, as is the house itself. The kitchen was well equipped with ample space and cookware. The outdoor fireplace area had propane heaters and between the fire and the heaters, we all enjoyed the... More

Recently stayed for the second time in a cottage at Hawkesdene House. The accomodations are cozy, the grounds are beautiful, both the natural setting and the plantings. A special treat is the barn and pasture with llamas, available for treks up the mountain side. There are other dogs and cats to greet you, as well. The hospitality extended by the... More

We just returned from five fabulous days at hawkesdene. The estate, cottages and property are meticlously maintained and beautifully furnished. The innkeepers,Rob and Phil made sure that all of our party wanted for nothing. His is the perfect sight for family gatherings, retreats or just to get away. It is 2.5 hrs. From Atlanta or 3.5 hrs. From Knoxville. Well... More

Hawkesdene House was the perfect getaway for eight of my closest friends meeting together for Memorial Day Weekend. We shared the entire house and the Garden Cottage. The house has 4 guest suites, immaculate and detailed for comfort with the highest end furniture and bedding - all from North Carolina and local shops. In addition there is a lower level... More

After traveling down a two lane road that seems to be off the beaten path, you suddenly come upon this wonderful property and home. It is like an oasis in the mountains. It is beautiful! Mark and Melissa Harris were the gracious innkeepers at the Hawkesdene House. We were given a tour of the house and told the history of... More

We loved the inn; the setting is perfect. It is quiet and peacefull. We could hear the creek running outside our bedroom window. It was 100% clean and the food was wonderful as well as the innkeepers. This is the perfect week-end getaway.

The beautiful inn, ambiance, area, food and especially the friendly innkeepers, Melissa and Mark were top notch. The inn was clean. It felt very comfortable there. The llama trek to the top of the mountain in the evening for dinner was an added attraction. Close to golf courses, hiking trails and Chatuge and Nantahala Lake
